DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION

This section contains pieces that range from heavily blended and textured digital paintings made in Adobe Photoshop, to more line-art heavy editorials that are vector based, smoother, and made using Adobe Illustrator. Despite what program was used, the end result is multi-faceted and layered pieces with plenty of detail shown throughout.

VISUAL IDENTITY

Visual Identity is the presentation of a company shown through logos, font choices, and color selection. This is meant to translate what the company is and what it stands for to customers in just a few glances. Collateral pieces for branding can include business cards, letter heads, large decals, and even product design.

EDITORIAL DESIGN

Editorial pieces can range from magazines to books, relying on portraying large amounts of information in a pleasing but effective manner. Editorial design balances function and style, whether these pieces are photograph  heavy or illustrated.

POSTER DESIGN

Meant to be eye-catching and informative, posters promote or inform viewers of various things such as books, artists, gigs, products, or ideas. These can be text heavy, graphic, or illustrated; as long as it supports what the poster is promoting.

MARKETING COLLATERAL

Marketing collateral contains pieces that are meant to promote a product or service. This can include labels, advertisements, brochures, annual reports, and more. Similar to editorials, many pieces of collateral deal with aesthetically displaying large amounts of information in an eye-catching way while still supporting the visual identity of the company it is promoting.

ON SCREEN DISPLAY

Pieces in this section are meant to end up on monitors, whether they are applications or videos. Important aspects  for these can include successful on-boarding, eye-catching colors, user experience design, and overall consistency.

FILM AND PRODUCTION

Ranging from theatrical shows to independent and short films, pieces in this category vary greatly within the type or work needed to complete them. While some of  these projects depend on large scale painting and lettering, some need extensive set dressing and prop gathering in order to complete the director’s vision.

TRADITIONAL MEDIA

Growing up, I learned to utilize many different mediums. Whether it was oil paint, acrylic paint, or water color, I believe that it’s important to be well rounded and able to apply techniques and lessons one has learned from one medium to all mediums possible.
